On behalf of the Directors, Members and Staff of the Tweed Heads Bowls Club, I would like to extend a friendly welcome to competitors and spectators from near and far to the 25^th Anniversary of the playing of our Golden Nugget Invitation Prestige Singles.

Since the commencement of this event in 1986, it has become known as one of the most prestigious tournaments in Australia, and once again the Tournament Committee has selected a field of outstanding bowlers from within Australia and overseas. I’m sure the spectators will be thrilled with the expertise of these elite competitors as they strive to join the list of illustrious winners of the past.

The Golden Nugget consolidates the club’s reputation as being in the forefront of the promotion of lawn bowls, and this has been assisted by the outstanding co-operation and professionalism of many of our members and staff. A special thank you to all concerned, and I know that your efforts will be greatly appreciated by competitors and spectators alike.

The Tweed Heads Bowls Club is recognised internationally for its ability to present major tournaments that are advantageous to the participants; provide first class entertainment to spectators; and give us the ability to promote the sport successfully.
